Food To Keep Them Moving: #FlatoutIsMyCanvas

Are your kids like ours? Always going, going, going. Like, non-stop? Ok, good, we’re on the same page then. Have you noticed that if you feed them the wrong types of foods, they’ll have a quick burst of energy only to crash HARD not long after? Us too.

Need an example? Take a look at this little commercial we made that illustrates what happens when your kids load up on sugary and salty foods after school. CRASHHHH!

So, what do you do instead? We’ve found that fueling them up with healthier snacks after a long day can a long way in giving them more energy. Whether it is so they run around, do homework, or stay energized while they do sports. In Nick’s case, Sophia competing in gymnastics and taking ballet class.

We partnered with Flatout Flatbread to come up with some healthy snack choices to keep our kids energized. Since Flatout is a blank canvas, it’s ideal for making quick, healthy snacks. Plus, they’re kind of fun to cook with, so you can get the kids to help in the kitchen. If they can learn how to eat healthy at a young age, it can help influence them to continue to make healthy choices as they get older.

This is just one of the recipes we came up with. And yes, we ate it. And so did our kids. A super-easy chicken and cheese quesadilla. You can actually see how we made it in our video above.

  • Pull chicken pieces off rotisserie. Dice into small pieces
