We’re An Iris Award Nominee for Best Parenting Podcast!

Untitled design

Well, you guys, this is a very weird post for us to be writing. We’re incredibly honored to be one of six nominees for “Best Parenting Podcast” for the 2016 Iris Awards! We know! We think that’s crazy too!

For those of you who don’t know, the The Iris Awards honors the parent blogging community and its body of work throughout the year. The Awards recognize the finest expressions in art, commentary, commerce, philanthropy, ideas and connections, all the while celebrating the emerging industry created by its pioneers and leaders. It’s the Oscars or Grammy’s of the parent blogging world.

To be perfectly honest, finding our way onto the pre-ballot, let along be nominated in a field we are passionate about–with so many amazing parenting podcasts to choose from–is an honor that we truly can’t describe. We’re just a couple of dads talking about our lives on a weekly basis. It’s fun. We love doing it.

If you would have said to us 2-1/2 years ago that fate would have us become neighbors, decided to start a podcast about our lives as dads not long after meeting, and 2-plus years later find ourselves nominated for an award like this, we would have told you that you are out of your minds. Yet, here we are.

This post isn’t to gloat about being nominated. This post is to say thank you for the amazing honor of thinking our little show in the outskirts of Philly is worth your time to listen to. And worth your time to nominate us for an amazing award. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much!

And do yourselves a favor, go spend some time listening to the other amazing shows up for the award.
